In the midst of Namenayo! Nameneko Matakichi's Strongest Legend's popularity, CoroCoro Magazine held a character design contest.

Readers could design a new character and send their designs to CoroCoro. There weren't any restrictions in the contest, so anyone could go wild with their creativity. The winning design would be featured in a future chapter of Namenayo! and be incorporated into the manga's canon.

These are some examples of possible character entrees. It's unknown who drew them. But they were probably drawn by Seto Kazuyoshi as they seem close to his art style.
