"Maru". A 10-year old hamster from the town of Hamsterdam, Bakumaru wanted nothing more than to become a hero people can look up to. After meeting the retired hermit, Elder Ham, he's automatically given the Pika Pika Hammer and his wish becomes a reality. With the Pika Pika Hammer in his possession, Bakumaru sets out to accomplish a new goal in life by eradicating all evil off the planet. He can be exciteable and brash at times, but he still manages to pull through and come up with strategies that work out well for everyone. (For the good guys, at least...) |

| A hamster girl who also
comes from Hamsterdam. Her true motives remain unknown. But she leaves
the town to join Bakumaru on his journey after a run in with a member
of a criminal gang. She's the most normal one of the group and often stops Bakumaru from doing anything reckless or stupid. |
